Joining a small group is the best way to grow in your faith, and we are offering several in May to get us started at The Well. Take a look at these groups, pray about which you will participate in, and then register using the Connection on Sunday or this online registration form.

Fearless – Imagine Your Life Without Fear

Fear is like an invisible prison. It holds you captive, influencing your choices and perceptions about life, God, and other people. Can you imagine what your life would be like without fear? With so much going wrong in the world it can seem hard to picture. In Fearless, Max Lucado shows us how life can be lived with confidence and joy, when you replace your fear with faith. Lucado covers: Why are we afraid? Fear of not mattering, Fear of disappointing, Fear of life’s final moments, Fear of global calamity and the Fear of God getting out of the box.

Dan Reed (our drummer) & Scott Chafee, in the Welcome Center, on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm, begins May 11.

Game Plan for Life

Three-time Super Bowl winner, NFL Hall of Fame coach, and three-time NASCAR champion Joe Gibbs has assembled a team of experts to tackle the key areas of life a man needs in order to lead a victorious life. Based on a national survey, the Gibbs team has identified the most important issues facing men today. Gibbs diagrams an “average Joe’s” guide to what the Bible has to say about God, the Bible, salvation, Creation and science, finances and living in a broken world. Joined by “teammates” Ken Boa, Josh McDowell, Chuck Colson, John Lennox, Ron Blue, and Ravi Zacharias, he walks you through the greatest playbook ever written. Topics include: Who is the Coach? The ultimate playbook, Making God’s team, The enemy’s game plan, Signing bonus and Playing hurt. (A group for men only).

Scott Chafee (our pastor of discipleship) & Kenny Toombs, in the Welcome Center, Saturdays at 7:30 am, begins on May 14.

The Christian Atheist

This is a book club for women, meeting once a month. It’s about believing in God, but living as if he doesn’t exist. You believe in God, but you don’t really know him, you are ashamed of your past, you aren’t sure he loves you, don’t believe in prayer, you don’t think he’s fair, you won’t forgive, you still worry, you trust more in money, you don’t share your faith, and don’t believe in the church.

You need to purchase the book and read the first four chapters before the first meeting. The paperback book is less than $10 at Amazon.

Katie Goodmurphy, (our women’s ministry coordinator), in the Choir Room, beginning Friday June 3 at 6:30 pm.
